Neil Blumenthal
Neil Blumenthal served as the Director of VisionSpring, an organization that teaches women in the developing world how to administer an eye exam while giving them the tools to distribute glasses to those who need them. It is a model that relies less exclusively on charity and works more to create an economic structure for long term success in developing countries. Neil then went on to create the eyewear company Warby Parker. The simple theory behind the Warby Parker business model Each time a customer buys a pair of glasses from Warby Parker, they are also making it possible for a pair to be distributed to a person in need through Warby Parker’s support of VisionSpring.
