Michael Fitzpatrick is an American Cellist and Composer who shares his 18-year musical collaboration with His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama. Music provides a whole-body feeling of connectedness and awakens the conscious state through the power of vibrations. About Michael Fitzpatrick

Hailed by The New York Times as possessing “A sense of humor, virtuosity, and an ear for musical dialogue”, Michael Fitzpatrick has shared the stage with His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama for the past 17 years as part of the TUNING THE PLANET recording/film/performance platform he is spearheading. He is the recipient of The Prince Charles Award for Outstanding Musicianship conferred by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales.

Michael Fitzpatrick plays the Gemunder / Injeian ‘Golden Cello’ restored by Master Violinmaker Phillip Injeian of Pittsburgh – and the Jensen 5-String Electric Cello made by Eric Jensen of Seattle. His principal cello studies were with Scott Ballantyne, Personal Teaching Assistant to Leonard Rose.
