Wendy Kopp’s education equity stems from her time at Princeton University, where she wrote her senior thesis on addressing educational inequalities. TFA grew out of her idea to create an organization that would not only place teachers but also train them to become lifelong advocates for social change. Kopp has received numerous honors, including being named to Time magazine’s list of the 100 Most Influential People. Kopp has authored several books, including A Chance to Make History and One Day, All Children, both of which discuss her vision for educational reform and the challenges in scaling nonprofit ventures.
