Healthwire Teams Up with USO

The world has endured great panic, tragedy and fright over the course of the past few months. The uncertainty of our future is something we aren’t accustomed to. Imagine if this reality was a normal every day feeling for not only a few months, but years.

Many often forget this is the case for 100s of thousands of active duty service members who live in a constant state of unknown- unknown of when they will see their families again and what their future holds- sacrificing it all so we have the freedom to go to concerts, sporting events, crowded restaurants and all the things we miss about our “normal” lives.

The USO is the world’s leading non-profit organization providing resources and entertainment to active duty members of the US Coast Guard, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corp, and Space Force. In an effort to recognize the unconditional dedication of these 6 branches of the US Armed Forces, our team here at Healthwirefm and Newswirefm have built a strong relationship with the USO. Our mission is to give back to the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for our freedoms 24/7.

We have recently teamed up with the USO to provide resources to active duty service members and their families. Members were given free subscriptions, allowing them to view all shows and episodes across both channels Healthwirefm and Newswirefm. In addition, we’ve curated a unique “Stress Reduction Promo Series” with world renowned yoga instructor, Eddie Stern, which is specifically tailored to the US Armed Forces. The 10 easy-to-follow sequences are designed for everyday use, helping to improve flexibility, core strength, balance and focus.

Healthwirefm has extended physical resources too, shipping yoga mats with messaging, “Pause & Take A Breath” in USO2GO kits, which provide supplies to military service members stationed in some of the farthest corners of the world. Each yoga mat has a QR code leading to the Healthwirefm channel, so members can practice along with one of our many guided practices.

“Whether service members are going through an Ebola virus quarantine after returning from West Africa, providing forward surgical support on the eastern border of Afghanistan or just looking for a place to sit down in the field, the USO has been able to reach them with its USO2GO program.” (Joseph Andrew Lee, USO) We are honored to be able to help connect and help our service members through the means of our platform.
