Bill Gross’s investing career spans more than four decades. Over that time, he created the first investable market for fixed income accessible to all investors, co-founded and led one of the largest and most successful investment firms, provided highly anticipated monthly market commentary and became one of the most charitable benefactors of those in need.

Gross graduated from Duke University with a degree in psychology and later earned an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Anderson School of Management. Over his career, he managed the PIMCO Total Return Fund, which was one of the largest mutual funds globally, and received numerous accolades for his contributions to finance, including being named Morningstar’s Fixed-Income Manager of the Decade in 2010. After leaving PIMCO in 2014, Gross joined Janus Capital Group (now Janus Henderson Investors) before retiring in 2019.
