Women of the World

This November, CORE welcomes the Women of the World Delegation. Headquartered out of Amsterdam, Women of the World serves as a catalyst to foster connections and promote independent, cause-driven impact. Lead by the founder Carine de Meyere, this group of 14 female leaders visits Washington, D.C., and New York City to embody collaboration, cultural exchange, and the empowerment of women.

Gatherings of Innovators

The delegation’s visit to the United States presents an opportunity to engage with women across a variety of fields.

The group is meeting with representatives from UN Women, the United Nations entity devoted to gender equality and the empowerment of women. Additionally, Dutch Architect Winka Dubbeldam, acclaimed for her innovative designs and featured on CORE’s Life Cycles series, will share her insights on redefining spaces and fostering creative dialogue.

Meetings with Calvert Impact, the initial force behind Muhammad Yunus’ micro-finance movement, funding women with micro-loans to uplift sustainable change, and the Obama Foundation, which aims to empower people to transform their communities, will allow the delegation to explore solutions and foster synergies. These engagements create a platform for exchanging ideas, exploring new approaches, and strengthening the commitment to advancing female leadership.

CORE Headquarters

Our team at CORE is honored to host the delegation at our headquarters for a private pre-release screening of Forging Peace: The Transformation Behind Article 22. Produced by CORE, this documentary debuts on December 10, Human Rights Day, and chronicles the inspiring journey of Elizabeth Suda in founding Article 22. This pioneering social enterprise transforms weapons of war into jewelry, emphasizing sustainability and peace-building through the arts. As a special gesture, each member of the delegation will receive Article 22’s Peace All Around bangle—a symbol of transformation and resilience.

Through our One World Women series, we celebrate female leaders whose achievements and vision champion enduring impact. We also encourage female content creators to share their unique perspectives and stories, fostering a diverse creative community. Across all of CORE’s library and learning journeys, we strive to showcase the contributions of these trailblazers, who inspire progress and empower others to follow their lead.
