Bruce Vaughn

Bruce Vaughn, Former Walt Disney CEO, explains how he created Happily Ever After experiences for the whole family with his team. Walt Disney Imagineering is the creative engine that designs and builds all Disney theme parks, resorts, attractions, and cruise ships worldwide, and oversees the creative aspects of Disney games, merchandise product development, and publishing businesses. Walt Disney has imagineers all over the world working in hundreds of different roles to bring life to Disney’s characters and pioneer new forms of entertainment. Bruce Vaughn gives credit to the designers and innovative minds on the team, while uncovering some of the magical secrets in the Disney experience.

About Bruce Vaughn

Bruce Vaughn was Chief Creative Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering for The Walt Disney Company. In this role, he led the integrated creative teams of Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI), Disney’s Creative Entertainment (DCE) and WDI Research and Development to drive excellence in product development and innovation. The scope of Vaughn’s responsibilities included theme park attractions and special effects, innovative theater experiences, and new business opportunities that leverage invented and emerging technologies.

Vaughn joined Walt Disney Imagineering in 1993 as a senior technical specialist. In order to gain experience in various aspects of the WDI process, Vaughn spent time working as a writer for Theme Park Productions and was associate media producer for the renovation of Spaceship Earth at Epcot. Since then, Vaughn has been involved in many efforts that cross over the various divisions of The Walt Disney Company, including Feature Animation, Television, Theatrical, Music, Internet, Consumer Products and Location-Based Entertainment.
