Dropbox CEO Innovates Cloud Storage

Drew Houston

Named one of the Most Promising Players Under 30 by Business Week and top 30 under-30 Entrepreneurs by INC.com is none other than Drew Houston. Houston is the CEO of Dropbox, a file storage and sharing service with a cloud sharing platform that has more than 500 million users. Houston cofounded the company in 2007 when he was 24, with MIT classmate Arash Ferdowsi. The cloud storage provider went public in March 2018, with shares jumping more than 35% on its first day. Drew Houston now serves on Facebook’s board of directors.

About Drew Houston

Drew was born on March 4, 1983, in Acton, Massachusetts. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he studied Computer Science. During his time at MIT, Drew also co-founded Accolade, an online SAT prep company, which provided him early exposure to the startup ecosystem. In addition to his role at Dropbox, Drew has served on the board of Facebook (now Meta) and co-founded FWD.us, a lobbying organization focused on immigration and education reform. He has been recognized on several influential lists, including Forbes' 30 Under 30 and BusinessWeek's Most Promising Entrepreneurs.
