You've often heard the phrase, “if you can't self-regulate you'll self-medicate” - a last resort for many who are struggling with trauma. Self-regulation, however, is made possible through a range of forms and practices – from yoga, meditation, reading, playing music and the like. By carefully understanding how to manage your emotions, you have the power to make choices in your life; the very choices you learned about during the “Education” phase. This lesson will reference Boulder Crest’s “Wellness Triangle,” an equally distributed metric used to measure financial, physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
